Scruffy is a Russ Berrie & Co, Inc., 'Scruffy' model plush soft toy. He contains inner bagged PE pellets and polyester fiber, and is machine washable though I'd never ever even consider putting him in a washing machine. He is listed as item number 4080 on his tush tag, and item number 1 in my heart.
Ever since I was young I've known I wanted to be buried with Scruffy. I don't know why he and I connect so well, but he is the closest thing to my heart and soul that you can hold in your hands.
He's an old man, in his soul. He's the same age as me physically but in dog years he's pretty much in triple-figures. He can never die though because I refuse to let him go anywhere further than a metres out of my arms reach, ensuring his personal safety almost 24/7. I draw him a lot as well, because he is so cute and small!
I have a character that is a vehicle for regression named SIDS (short for Sudden Infant Death Syndrome), and it is essentially an anthropomorphic version of Scruffy that is a toddler instead of an old man. You can find SIDS' toyhouse profile here for art of that instance of Scruffy!
